Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake is a moist chocolate cake in a 9x13 pan with chocolate buttercream frosting. One of my favorite recipes from Grandma!

baking soda

cocoa powder

teaspoon
instant espresso powder

fine sea salt

milk
1

sugar
1
cup
mayonnaise
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
Best Chocolate Frosting
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat a 9x13 baking pan with cooking spray or vegetable shortening. Set aside.
Sift or whisk together the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder and espresso powder (if using). Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat together milk, sugar, mayonnaise, and vanilla.
Slowly add dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition, but only until just mixed.
Pour the cake batter into the prepared 9x13 baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test. Allow to cool completely.
