Ingredients

These super simple ingredients come together easily to make this sweet and minty snack.

  • Semisweet Chocolate Chips – These are part of the base of the chocolatey coating for the cereal.
  • Andes Mints – This classic candy gives the muddy buddies their minty flavor.
  • Chocolate Syrup – This adds even more chocolate flavor to the coating.
  • Salted Butter – Butter helps to make the sauce smooth and helps it to adhere to the cereal.
  • Vanilla Extract – Using vanilla rounds out the flavor of the coating.
  • Chex Cereal – While I like to use classic Chex, you can use any variety that you like.
  • Powdered Sugar – Confectioner’s sugar gives the muddy buddies added sweetness and their signature dusty coating.
