There is nothing I love more on a hot summer day that snacking on some fresh fruit. Watermelon, strawberries, grapes, you name it- I love it all. In fact, a fruit salad is usually my go to summer snack.

And while I love dipping apples in caramel sauce, sometimes I like to add a little something else into the mix. That’s where this marshmallow fruit dip comes in.

Fruit dip made with marshmallow fluff and cream cheese is an easy and fun dessert or snack that is hard to resist! It is great for brunch, showers, picnics, and after school snacks.

Ingredients

The ingredient list is short and simple for this dessert dip.

  • Cream cheese – Use a full fat, quality brand of cream cheese that is softened on the counter for an hour or so before starting. You want to be able to stick your finger into it easily. Cream cheese that is too cold will be hard to mix.
  • Marshmallow creme – This can be found in the baking aisle of your grocery store. It usually comes in a plastic jar with a lid, and is sometimes called Marshmallow Fluff or you can make your own marshmallow fluff!
  • Plain greek yogurt – This helps cut the sweetness of the dip just a little, adding a little depth of flavor.
  • Vanilla extract– Rounds out the flavors. Make sure to use a high quality pure vanilla extract for the best flavor. Almond or other flavors of extract can also be used.

How to Make Marshmallow Fruit Dip

This recipe is really easy to make!

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, marshmallow cream, yogurt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Use a hand mixer on medium speed to combine all the ingredients until it is soft and fluffy.
  3. Transfer to a serving bowl to serve immediately, or place in an airtight lidded container in the fridge until you are ready to use.

What to Serve with Marshmallow Fruit Dip

This dessert dip is awesome because you can serve it with so many delicious goodies. Try serving it with:

  • Apples
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Orange segments
  • Grapes
  • Pineapple rings
  • Blueberries
  • Kiwi
  • Graham crackers
  • Nilla Wafers or your
    favorite cookie

Variations

There are many ways to customize this dessert dip.

  • Flavored Cream Cheese– Pick a sweet cream cheese (over a savory) like chocolate, strawberry or cinnamon sugar.
  • Flavored Yogurt- I like vanilla Greek yogurt, but you can also use a flavor. Use a fruit flavor like strawberry, raspberry or blueberry or even chocolate or almond.
  • Fold Ins– Fold in mini chocolate chips, toffee bits, peanut butter bits or crushed cookies such as Oreos or chocolate chip cookies.
  • Extract- Vanilla is the most basic, but any extract can be added to this fairly plain base for flavor. Almond is my other favorite, but any you desire will work.

I love how creamy, sweet, and tangy this dip is. I mean, I love it too much, really. I ended up serving less than I meant to last night because I kept eating it.

My daughter absolutely loves this! She is a huge fan of marshmallows and especially likes to have strawberries with a dipping sauce – and this fruit dip was perfect for her!
