An easy side dish that takes 20 minutes to make on the grill that is smothered in garlic?! Yes please! Once this Garlic Grilled Broccoli comes off the grill, you will be left satisfied!!
Ingredients
You will easily find all of these grilled broccoli ingredients at your local grocery store.
- Balsamic vinegar – We use the balsamic in our marinade. It adds great flavor to this simple broccoli recipe.
- Extra virgin olive oil – I like to use light extra virgin olive oil. We need this to bake the broccoli and also to crisp up the edges.
- Worcestershire sauce – You can buy a bottle from the store, or try making your own homemade Worcestershire with my recipe!
- Fresh garlic – You can measure garlic with your heart, but I much prefer the flavor punch that fresh garlic packs rather than the minced jarred garlic.
- Salt and pepper – I use a simple blend of coarse kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Broccoli – You will want two heads cut into broccoli florets. Cut off the main stem and separate into bite-sized pieces.
- Lemon – I like to finish off this dish with fresh lemon. If you want a smoky finish, grill, cut side down, to make lovely char marks and serve half of the lemon with the broccoli for a unique and sweeter lemon flavor.
Serve it with the grilled lemon, by itself or drizzle it with a sauce like balsamic reduction sauce, lemon pesto sauce or herb aioli.
Variations
There are plenty of ways you can make this grilled broccoli recipe your own. Here are a few suggestions.
- Cheese – To add even more flavor, you can sprinkle a little parmesan cheese or even cheddar cheese over the baked broccoli.
- Different veggies – You can use this cooking method and seasoning blend for other vegetables too. Try using zucchini, sweet potatoes or roasted asparagus.
- Make it spicy – If you need a little spice in your life, try adding some red pepper flakes or extra black pepper to the broccoli.
- Drizzle – You can add extra flavor with a drizzle of balsamic glaze, soy sauce or melted butter.
- Fresh herbs – Add even more flavor by adding some chopped herbs. Parsley, thyme or basil would be great options.

This broccoli is really good & easy! When I am ready to grill , I drain the broccoli in a colander set in a bowl. Then I can save much of the deliciously seasoned garlic olive oil marinade for the next time I grill vegetables. Thanks for a delicious recipe!
